De Castelbajac’s ‘Emotional Puzzle’ at Ralph Pucci

“It’s impossible to miss,” said Ralph Pucci of Ralph Pucci International, referring to the exuberant “Emotional Puzzle” series of murals by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac that adorn the exterior of his gallery at 343 N.W. 25th Street in the Wynwood art district of Miami.
The murals are filled with blue skies, rainbows, multicolored stripes and hearts representing archetypal prints that de Castelbajac has been using for 40 years in his fashion work. The project reflects the spirit of collaboration that has become a hallmark of the Ralph Pucci galleries, which showcase furniture, fine art, lighting and mannequins, as well as the surrounding Wynwood community of funky galleries, chic boutiques and bistros.
“Murals have become an important part of the Ralph Pucci brand,” said Pucci. “It started on the walls of my New York gallery, then progressed to Los Angeles.”
Artists and designers such as Ruben Toledo, Kenny Scharf, Rebecca Moses and Maira Kalman have collaborated on murals and artwork at Pucci’s galleries, located in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
