Vera Wang is being honored at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Symposium & Luncheon on Oct. 17, WWD has learned.
Wang will receive the Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award at the lunch, which honors philanthropy, advocacy and thought leadership.
“As a mother, friend, designer and woman, I have been so proud to have been but a tiny part of BCRF and treasure having known the extraordinary late Evelyn Lauder,” Wang said in a statement. “Her dedication to fighting this disease has impacted all of our lives. A woman who gave back to other women is truly a hero for me.”
The BCRF Symposium & Luncheon is held annually in October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event honors BCRF-funded scientists for their breast cancer research.
