Panda Apparel Acquires Big Daddy Clothing

Big Daddy Clothing has a new parent company in Panda Apparel Group. The acquisition was completed Monday for an undisclosed amount.
Under Panda Apparel Group, Big Daddy will wholesale graphic apparel and accessories as well as a big and tall collection. The brand currently offers graphic T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, snapbacks, dad caps and beanies from sizes XXL to 6X, starting from $14.99. In the Eighties and Nineties, Big Daddy was a $28 million men’s wear brand.
“We are super excited to reintroduce the Big Daddy Clothing Brand to an industry that’s constantly hungry for new apparel,” said Panda president Scott Marino.
Scott, along with vice president Donna Marino, are partners at Panda Apparel Group which also operates private label brands Zero Gravitee, which is available on Amazon and at Walmart, and custom-dyed garment brand Neon Tees, as well as Panda Imprinting, a screen-printing and embroidery division.
The Springfield, N.J.-based company also operates Cougar Headquarters, a Cranford, N.J.-based brick-and-mortar store, and Varsity Central.
